Pam Liu
Queen’s Health Sciences undergraduate researcher interested in kidney health, chronic disease prevention and public health.

Biography
Pam Liu is an undergraduate researcher studying Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Her research interests centre on public health and the early detection and prevention of noncommunicable diseases, with a particular focus on kidney health and chronic kidney disease.
Within GHIRL, Pam is interested in how lifestyle factors and health disparities influence the progression of chronic conditions. She supports scoping reviews, systematic reviews and statistical analysis across incoming and ongoing initiatives, gaining experience in the evidence-synthesis and analytical work that helps a research question become a clearer study or programme.
Outside the lab, Pam is active in mental-health advocacy and community engagement. She leads Queen’s Music as Medicine, performing at senior homes and promoting research on neurodegenerative disorders and music therapy, and contributes to the U-Flourish Student Mental Health Research initiative, which uses longitudinal surveys to understand mental health over the course of an academic career.
