Community-development and health-research professional whose work combines applied research, project coordination, community engagement and institutional leadership.

Biography
Anisia Edward Kiwelu is a community-development and health-research professional whose work connects applied research, community engagement and project coordination with wider questions of social and economic development.
At WEMA Health Innovation Tanzania, she contributes to research activities, field data collection, stakeholder engagement and the coordination of projects designed to strengthen community health and wellbeing. Her role places her close to the communities and stakeholders through whom research and implementation take shape.
Anisia holds a Diploma in Community Development and is pursuing a Bachelor of Community Economic Development at the Open University of Tanzania. Her training brings together community development, resource mobilisation, project management and sustainable local development.
She also serves as a Project Coordinator and Board Member at WHIT and as Chairperson of the Malengo Development Foundation. These roles extend her work from field implementation into governance, stakeholder engagement and organizational leadership.
Across these responsibilities, Anisia’s professional interests remain rooted in a practical idea: research and development are most meaningful when communities participate in shaping priorities and when interventions contribute to both health and broader social wellbeing.
