Audrey Choi

Audrey Choi studied Health Sciences at Queen’s University and has developed interests spanning medicine, technology, healthcare systems and scientific communication. Her experience also includes work with Health Canada, adding a health-system and public-sector dimension to her academic background.

One strand of Audrey’s work examines artificial intelligence in medicine. In an article for Qapsule: Queen’s Undergraduate Health Sciences Journal, she explored the expanding use of AI across areas such as clinical decision support, precision medicine, radiology, surgery and electronic health records, while also engaging with questions surrounding bias, data and responsible implementation.

Her interests also extend into science communication. Through Qapsule, she has contributed to interviews and editorial content that brings researchers and scientific ideas into conversation with student and health-sciences audiences. In 2024, she co-authored a series of faculty spotlights featuring researchers working across biomedical and health sciences at Queen’s.

Together, these experiences reflect an interest not only in how medicine changes, but also in how those changes are interpreted, communicated and situated within healthcare.
