DETEC-TB: Designing Active Case Finding Around Contact Networks

Tuberculosis control loses opportunities when programmes wait for symptomatic people to arrive at facilities. DETEC-TB was designed around the contact network that surrounds an index case. The publication defines the pathway and the implementation transitions that need to function; it does not report completed effectiveness outcomes. The scientific value lies in treating contact investigation as a continuity problem: detection matters only when classification, linkage and follow-up are completed.
