From Local Evidence to a Coordinated National NCD Response

National NCD action is built through policy, programme structures, research priorities, financing, advocacy and institutional coordination rather than one isolated intervention. The synthesis mapped the development of a dedicated national NCD programme, guidelines, facility and workforce strengthening, community engagement and stakeholder coordination. The paper shows how local evidence becomes useful when institutions and policy mechanisms can convert it into organized action.
