Black Carbon Makes the Household Energy Transition Visible

Black Carbon Makes the Household Energy Transition Visible publication hero

Black carbon provides a combustion-related marker that can reveal how fuel and housing conditions shape exposure inside homes. Concentrations were substantially higher with solid-fuel use, while housing features associated with ventilation modified indoor levels. The findings show that household energy and the built environment act together, and that exposure measurement can make an otherwise abstract energy transition visible.
